My favorite thing about the coming of a new year is that I get to buy a new planner! That’s right – I am a part of the planner community. Truthfully, I like all things stationary, just in case you were thinking of getting me a gift lol.
Like I’ve mentioned before, I’m big on planning and making lists, so a planner is a must. There are some things that I set alerts and reminders for on my phone, but most things I write down. I have a day designer that I purchased last year that’s dated from July all the way to December 2017, but it’s too large to take with me daily. I’ve decided to use it for my blog schedule and ideas. I wanted something that would be small enough to fit in my purse without taking up too much space.
This time around, I decided to go with the Create 365 mini Happy Planner. I picked mine up from Michaels (keep an eye out for those coupons) but they are also carried at Hobby Lobby. The retail price for this planner is $19.99. I was lucky enough to buy it while they were 60% off and paid $7.99 for mine. I will use this planner to keep track of my daily tasks like chores, meal plans, gym routine, and the occasional appointment.
I added the snap-in hard cover.
To make sure I stay consistent with planning, I make it a “thing.” I decorate my planner with washi tape and stickers which I also get from Michaels or Target’s dollar spot. What I like most about this planner is that it is disc bound and expandable. That means you can add and take away pages in the planner. With a horizontal layout, the pages are pretty simple. This is great for decorating!!!
A few other details:
- Dated from January 2017 to December 2017
- 8.52″ x 5.62″ x 0.93″ overall size
- 4.63″ x 7″ page size
- laminated tabs and covers
- foil treated dividers
If you are not ready to commit to a planner just yet, but want to get more organized, start off with a notepad that you use only for writing down to-do lists. You can even download an app or use the notepad on your phone. I will give a more in-depth look into my planner in a future post.
…til next time.
